Em 2003 eu tive a grande oportunidade de ser um dos dez jurados do Prêmio Malofiej, o Oscar da infografia Mundial.

Naquela ocasião, conheci um dos meus grandes ídolos da infografia. Um talento que revolucionou a linguagem visual com seus trabalhos vetoriais impecáveis. Infográficos que influenciaram profissionais do mundo inteiro.

Era Jonh Grimwade, diretor de infografia da revista de turismo americana Condé Nast Travele.

Lá estava eu ao lado de uma lenda viva julgando trabalhos de jornais e revistas do Mundo inteiro.

Com certeza um momento marcante em minha carreira que eu não vou esquecer jamais.

Mandei um email convidando o Jonh para postar alguns de seus trabalhos em meu blog. Vocês não imaginam minha surpresa quando recebi sua resposta:

“Hi Luiz.

Excellent. Love the name. A blog by you is a blog that is definitely worth following!

I will post a making-of when I can find some time to figure it out. Hopefully very soon!

In 2003 I had the great opportunity to be one of the ten Malofiej Prize jurors, the Oscar of the worldwide infographic work.

At that time, I met one of my great idols of graphic computer. A talent that revolutionized the visual language with his impeccable vector work. Infographics that influenced professionals worldwide.

It was John Grimwade, Infographic Director of the American travel magazine “Conde Nast Traveler”.

There I was beside a living legend judging the work of newspapers and magazines of the whole world.

Definitely a remarkable moment in my career that I will never forget.

I sent an email inviting John to post some of his work in my blog. You can not imagine my surprise when I received your answer:
